Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanny Winters (ranked 3996 p4p, 4196 weight class) and Emerson Mccarty (ranked 449 p4p, 0 weight class). Winters has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Mccarty throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mccarty wants to clinch up but Winters keeps it at a distance.
Mccarty throws a nice looking combination but Winters bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mccarty throws a sloppy head kick and Winters moves out of range easily.
As Mccarty looks to move away, Winters throws a big counter combo but Mccarty just gets out of the way.
Mccarty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Winters half committed to a counter leg kick.
Mccarty tries a head kick but it misses.
Winters thinks about countering with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccarty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Winters counters with a slapping leg kick.

Mccarty rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Winters moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Winters throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mccarty avoids it.
Mccarty throws a push kick but Winters slaps the foot to one side.
Winters looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Mccarty misses with a wild combination.
A counter left hand to the body from Winters misses its target.
Mccarty misses with a head kick.
Winters avoids the head kick by Mccarty.
Mccarty misses with a few strikes there.
As Mccarty backs away, Winters returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Mccarty blocks a low kick nicely.
Mccarty tries to close the distance and clinch but Winters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mccarty tries to keep at a distance but Winters has taken the fight into the clinch.

Winters breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mccarty throws a head kick that misses.
Winters throws a quick counter head kick but Mccarty was just out of range.
Winters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Winters on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Giovanny Winters has been cut.
Winters is breathing heavily.
Winters throws a head kick that half lands.
Mccarty is looking to clinch but Winters is avoiding it.

Mccarty looks to land a left hand but Winters moved out of range nicely.
We've been informed that Mccarty has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Mccarty lands a right hook to the body.
Winters takes one to the chin there.
Mccarty tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mccarty fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Winters appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccarty shoots for a takedown but Winters saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mccarty is looking to clinch but Winters is avoiding it.

Mccarty lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Mccarty is trying to force a seperation but Winters has the dominant position.

Winters tries a body shot but Mccarty blocks it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Winters misses with a hook to the ribs.
Winters lands with a light punch inside.

Mccarty manages to break the clinch.

Mccarty closes the distance and pushes Winters back into the cage.

Winters is trying to break free.
Mccarty tries for a takedown. No joy.
Winters throws a punch but it's blocked by Mccarty.

Winters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mccarty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Winters counters with an outside leg kick.
Winters pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mccarty lands a big head kick that sends Winters tumbling to the mat! Mccarty takes a step backwards and waves Winters back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Winters is rocked!

Mccarty clinches.
Oh Winters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mccarty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mccarty misses with a head kick.
Winters feinted there with a counter leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mccarty forces Winters back against the cage and clinches.

Winters seems to have got his legs back now.
Winters showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mccarty.
Mccarty drops Winters with a big left hand! Winters is injured, injured bad! Mccarty jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Emerson Mccarty tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
