The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brichta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brichta wants it to stay on the feet.

Dos Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dos Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brichta is fending him off so far but Dos Santos persists. Nope, Brichta circles away and we're back to standing.
Brichta swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Brichta manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dos Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dos Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Brichta finish him?

Brichta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brichta has Dos Santos pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Dos Santos is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Brichta - that's hurt Dos Santos badly! Oh, another knee lands and Dos Santos is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Dos Santos doesn't seem to be complaining.
