Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between James Braddock (ranked 23259 p4p, 23190 weight class) and Righteous Crusader (ranked 593 p4p, 582 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Braddock! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 29 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Righteous Crusader ! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braddock just misses with a punch to the body.
Crusader lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Braddock backs up against the ropes.
It looks like James Braddock has been cut. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Crusader , as that shot connected.
Braddock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Crusader with a jab. Braddock takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Crusader drives through and clinches with Braddock against the ropes.

Braddock looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Crusader cracks Braddock with a nice body shot. Crusader keeps control of Braddock as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Crusader stalling in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Knees in the clinch landing for Crusader .
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusader unloads a knee to the mid-section. Crusader escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A punch lands to the side of Crusader 's head but he takes it in his stride. Braddock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crusader cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Braddock throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Crusader ducks under a wild hook from Braddock. Braddock sets himself, and Crusader steps forward looking for the clinch! Braddock avoids it this time. Crusader clinches. Crusader landing knees to the head.
Crusader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Braddock slips a jab and a cross from Crusader .
Braddock misses with an uppercut. Crusader tries to counter with a clinch but Braddock shakes him off and moves away. Crusader clips Braddock with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Braddock a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Braddock is rocked! Braddock fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Braddock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A jab from Braddock misses. Braddock seems to have got his legs back now. Crusader closes the distance and pushes Braddock back into the ropes. Crusader breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusader comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A shot to the liver by Braddock. Beautiful body shot. Braddock misses with a body shot.

A combination from Crusader does no damage. Braddock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crusader moves away. Braddock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crusader counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crusader . Crusader manages to break the clinch.

and Crusader counters with a three punch combo that has Braddock backing up. Braddock nods at Crusader to acknowledge the strikes.
James Braddock's cut is getting worse. Braddock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crusader gets a clinch. Braddock takes a knee to the side of the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice glancing elbow lands by Crusader .
James Braddock's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crusader just leaning against Braddock, taking a breather. Crusader controlling the action here for a moment.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Crusader takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Crusader continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Crusader breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Braddock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A lazy left from Crusader finds it's target. Braddock dodges the punch combination from Crusader .
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crusader fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Having scored a knockdown, Righteous Crusader should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2. The cut man is working on James Braddock's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Crusader avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Braddock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crusader clinches up with Braddock and pushes him back against the ropes. Crusader stalls. Crusader has Braddock pushed against the ropes. Crusader escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Braddock swings widly with a right hand
and Crusader counters with a two punch combo. Braddock jabbing away but nothing is landing. Braddock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crusader .
A quick step to the side and Braddock tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. A combination from Braddock does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusader closes the distance and clinches. Crusader has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Crusader leaning against his opponent.
Righteous Crusader seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Crusader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
