The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
The Flamingo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pawn tries to counter with a clinch but The Flamingo shakes him off and moves away.

The Flamingo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
The Flamingo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Pawn is fighting off a takedown attempt but The Flamingo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pawn to the mat. Pawn regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pawn seems keen to control The Flamingo's posture.

Pawn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Flamingo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pawn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Flamingo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The Flamingo wants to finish this one by submission but Pawn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from The Flamingo.

The Flamingo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pawn is looking to escape.

The Flamingo has hold of Pawn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pawn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The Flamingo has control of Pawn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pawn regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The Flamingo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pawn is squirming around, avoiding The Flamingo's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The Flamingo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pawn is now in The Flamingo's guard. A big mistake from The Flamingo there, giving up the dominant position!

Pawn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Flamingo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The Flamingo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pawn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but The Flamingo is tightening it up a little... Pawn has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pawn reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pawn taps out! Nice BJJ there by The Flamingo!
