Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodney Bates!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adesanya lands a right hook to the body.
Adesanya definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Adesanya lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Adesanya smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bates throws a lazy head kick
and Adesanya counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bates wants to clinch but Adesanya slips to the side
and Adesanya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bates moves in looking to clinch but Adesanya pushes him off.
Bates tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adesanya swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Adesanya was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Adesanya slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bates fails with the takedown
and Adesanya counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bates thinking.
Bates's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Adesanya connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bates scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bates tries to clinch there but Adesanya circles away.
Adesanya swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Adesanya ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Bates out cold! The fight is over!
