Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greco De Luca (ranked 3929 p4p, 4908 weight class) and Armani Lin (ranked 384 p4p, 439 weight class). Armani Lin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greco De Luca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Armani Lin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Luca closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
De Luca missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Lin wants to control but De Luca is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if De Luca is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
De Luca winds up and cracks Lin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lin is trying to stand back up but De Luca is controlling him
Lin regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from De Luca.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Luca trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De Luca working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
De Luca distracts Lin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
De Luca tries to free his leg and advance position but Lin is retaining full guard.
De Luca stands up over Lin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as De Luca controls the pace.
De Luca throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

De Luca won't allow Lin to sweep him here.
De Luca's corner is telling him to maintain position.
De Luca throws a strike but Lin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as De Luca holds on and takes a little breather.

De Luca escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

De Luca is trying to push Lin off with his feet but Lin grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of De Luca's ankles and De Luca is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Ankle Lock). Armani Lin!
