Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Vitor Junior has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitor Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Nguyen! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Junior shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nguyen as he avoids it easily. Junior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nguyen tries to avoid it but Junior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nguyen to the ground. Nguyen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Junior shoots in looking for a takedown. Nguyen tries to sprawl out of it but Junior keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nguyen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Junior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Junior tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nguyen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Junior will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck for Junior with that takedown attempt. Junior shoots for a takedown but Nguyen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Junior fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nguyen avoids it really well and circles away. Nguyen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Junior.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junior shoots in and bounces Nguyen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nguyen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Nguyen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nguyen throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Junior tries to stand but Nguyen is controlling from the bottom. Junior trying to control the position from guard on top but Nguyen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Junior throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nguyen with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Junior can't handle though.
Nguyen lands a decent shot there. Nguyen throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Nguyen lands a decent punch to the body there. Junior drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Junior jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Junior takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Junior is breathing heavily. Nguyen trying to strike off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nguyen can do anything to dispel that myth. Nguyen striking off his back but it's not causing Junior any problems. Junior drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Junior jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Junior is looking to stand up but Nguyen won't let him. Junior won't allow Nguyen to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nguyen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Junior preventing the sweep. Nguyen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nguyen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Junior was covering up waiting for the punch and Nguyen finishes the takedown easily into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Nguyen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nguyen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Junior to the mat! Junior manages to get full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nguyen distracts Junior with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Nguyen landing with the ground and pound. Nguyen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nguyen throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nguyen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Junior is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nguyen is aware though and is defending well. Nguyen cracks Junior with a solid left hand. Nguyen postures up and lands a big shot to Junior's brow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nguyen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Junior is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Junior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nguyen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Junior is trying to keep Nguyen in close.
Junior has momentary wrist control but Nguyen slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nguyen landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nguyen with a nice head shot there. Nguyen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Junior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nguyen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Junior has momentary wrist control but Nguyen slips an elbow through the middle.
Junior is rocked! Nguyen working some strikes from top position. Oh Junior is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nguyen lands a couple of digs. Nguyen cracks Junior with a solid left hand. Nguyen loads up on a big left hand. Junior felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nguyen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Junior can't hide his disappointment, as Nguyen celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Nguyen!
