Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joel Joyce!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Asakura. That snapped Joyce's head back.
Joyce dodges the punch combination from Asakura.
Asakura throws a shot to the body.
Asakura misses with a few strikes there.
Joyce misses with a takedown
and Asakura counters with a nice uppercut.
Joyce has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Asakura misses with a double jab
enabling Joyce to counter with a crisp jab.
Joyce will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Asakura works over Joyce's head and body with a nice combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joyce has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Joyce there as he acknowledges the shot.
Joyce is rocked!

Joyce is still on wobbly legs! Can Asakura finish him?
Joyce doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asakura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kai Asakura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Joyce.
A right-left combo lands from Asakura.
Asakura throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Joyce stumbling backwards into the cage! Joyce bounces back off the cage towards Asakura, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Asakura lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Asakura celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kai Asakura!
A very excited looking Kai Asakura made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
