Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elijah Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shannon Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Carr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Taylor can't do much from the bottom here.
Taylor manages to get back to half guard.
Taylor moves into full guard.
Carr is looking to stand up but Taylor won't let him.
Carr advances position into side control!
Carr working away.
Taylor tries to improve position but can't.

Carr stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Carr throws a head kick but Taylor moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Taylor there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Taylor throws a chopping leg kick but Carr manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Taylor takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Taylor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Carr counters with a shoot takedown. Taylor fights it but they end up in guard.
Taylor keeping moving, preventing Carr from controlling successfully.
Taylor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Taylor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carr!
Carr is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carr sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Carr wants to control but Taylor is keeping busy.

Carr kicks Taylor off and gets back to his feet.
Carr is breathing heavily.
Taylor closes the distance but Carr moves to the side

and Carr counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carr.

Taylor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carr scoring well with a low kick there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A chopping leg kick lands by Taylor.
Taylor closes the distance but Carr moves to the side
and Carr counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Carr with a hook.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carr misses with a low kick.
Carr feints and then cracks Taylor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taylor down.
Carr throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily.
Taylor throws a wild body kick that Carr sees coming a mile off.
Carr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carr lands a jab.
Carr tries to land a front kick but Taylor steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Taylor throws a right hand that Carr ducks under and follows up with a left that Carr also avoids with ease.
Carr closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Taylor misses with a takedown
and Carr finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carr lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Carr lands with a kick to the temple. Taylor shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Carr looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A combination from Carr does no damage.
Carr misses with a few strikes there.
Taylor takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Carr lands a head kick!
Carr connects with a right hand. Taylor shakes it off.
Shannon Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carr lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carr's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Carr duly obliges.
Carr is working the combinations to good effect here.
Carr lands a jab-cross combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carr has closed the distance and engaged Taylor in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elijah Carr dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Carr throws a series of strikes that have Taylor backpedaling.
Taylor has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Carr misses with a head kick.
Taylor tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Carr works over Taylor's head and body with a nice combination.
Elijah Carr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Carr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taylor in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Carr is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Carr extends the arm and Taylor is forced to tap!
