The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.

Everett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shart stacks Everett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shart!

Everett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shart is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Everett to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Everett shrugs it off.

Shart has control of Everett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Everett regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Everett felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Everett is looking to improve his position but Shart isn't that keen on the idea.
