Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stevan Micic (ranked 3053 p4p, 2469 weight class) and Tommy Wilander (ranked 165 p4p, 145 weight class). Micic has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Stevan Micic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilander shoots in for a takedown but Micic shows good takedown defense.
Wilander fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Micic with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Wilander moves away from the strike by Micic.
Tommy Wilander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Micic looks to land a left hand but Wilander moved out of range nicely.

and Micic counters with a straight right hand.
Micic takes a swing at Wilander's ribcage but misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilander doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Wilander throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Micic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Micic is breathing heavily.
Wilander wants to sweep here but Micic controlling him for the moment.
Wilander has control of Micic's left arm, preventing Micic from doing any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilander is on top in guard.

Wilander has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Tank Factory. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Wilander is working Micic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

It looks like Stevan Micic has been cut.
Wilander is in close to Micic's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Wilander postures up in Micic's guard and throws a big left but Micic blocks it.
Wilander pushes down on Micic's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
