Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryson Pereira (ranked 4177 p4p, 4807 weight class) and Paul Sanchez (ranked 386 p4p, 417 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereira has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sanchez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Pereira is looking to control Sanchez's arms but Sanchez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pereira has his back to the cage.

Pereira bucks up and tries to throw Sanchez off but instead Sanchez has got his back!
Sanchez is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Sanchez connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Pereira to escape the position.
Pereira covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Sanchez is hanging on to Pereira's back as he tries to escape.
Sanchez is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sanchez gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sanchez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sanchez apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Bryson Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanchez wants to take a breather but Pereira is having none of it.
Sanchez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Sanchez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
