Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duck Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JJ King!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King is looking to chop away at Silva's legs.
Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. King sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duck Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
King wants to counter with a clinch but Silva pushes him away.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Silva looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.

and King counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Silva is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but King is defending well.

Silva decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
King works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard.
Silva has momentary wrist control but King slips an elbow through the middle.

Silva pushes a forearm under King's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, King is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
