Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Mason (ranked 4418 p4p, 4719 weight class) and Mordecai Brown (ranked 411 p4p, 423 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Mason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mordecai Brown! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brown in his tracks. Mason on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Brown connects with a leg kick. Brown thows a leg kick but Mason checks it and Mason counters with a takedown into side control. Mason is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mason is working Brown over with some ground and pound from side control. Mason just content to control the position. Mason looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Brown is avoiding damage well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mason decides to stand back up. Brown moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mason looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mason takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mason closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Brown trying to remain calm as Mason controls from the top position. Mason decides to stand back up. Mordecai Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mason swinging wildly here.
Mordecai Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mason checks it well. Brown throws a body shot but no joy. Mason looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Brown! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brown tries to buck Mason off but Mason is having none of it. Mason remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mason sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Brown is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brown is letting Mason control him for a moment. Mason misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mason is trying to move to mount but Brown reverses beautifully and ends up in Mason's guard. Mason pulls Brown in to control the position. Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kenny Mason will probably get the nod. That's time! Mason's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Brown takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A good leg kick by Brown. Brown comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mason tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
Mason misses with a wild body shot. Mason drives through with a takedown into guard. Brown bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mason's guard. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Mason is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mason manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Mason engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason with a flurry of punches that miss. Mason wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Mason's corner is telling him to maintain position. Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mason content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mason throwing strikes but missing. Mason is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kenny Mason overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mason has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mason wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kenny Mason is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason with a poor takedown and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Brown feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Masons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Mason. Mason gets slowly back to his feet. Mason closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Mason pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Mason. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mason is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Mason has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brown. Brown throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nice body kick there by Brown. Brown lands an overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to clinch but Mason is having none of it. Brown lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mason shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side. Brown thumps Mason with a low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice straight punches there by Brown. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brown. Brown cracks a nice hook into Mason's ribs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mason. Mason tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Brown lands a right hook to the body.
A big left from Mason misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mordecai Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Brown is looking to clinch. Mason seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Brown has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Mason drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Brown working a defensive guard here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mason's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mason looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason throwing strikes but missing. Mason content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason stops Brown from standing up. Brown is trying to control the position but Mason postures up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Brown keeping moving, preventing Mason from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mason.
Mason instigates a clinch. Brown wants to stall.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Mason as Brown tries to tie him up. Brown has Mason pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mason is trying to pull guard but Brown turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mason managing to block the knees to the body from Brown.
Brown tries to work over Mason's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Brown tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Mason tries for a takedown but Brown manages to get underhooks.
Mason escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice leg kick from Brown, right into the meat of the thigh.
A solid leg kick lands there for Brown.
Mason blocks the body kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Brown stops a takedown attempt from Mason.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Mason. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason has Brown pushed against the cage. Brown is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Mason manages to pull guard.
Mason wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Brown is now in half guard. Brown is thwarting Mason's attempts to control the position. Brown wants to take a breather but Mason is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason wants to get back to full guard but Brown has mounted him! Mason working to try and regain half guard.
Mason trying desperately to get to his feet.
Mason tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mason is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Mason is trying desperately to improve position. Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mason is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mordecai Brown. I think Brown has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
