The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George thows a left - swing and a miss!
Clayton Il lands a glancing blow to the side of George's head.
Clayton Il's corner calls for a 1-2. Clayton Il obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Saint George has been cut.
George displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clayton Il throws out the jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clayton Il keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of George's head.
Clayton Il slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on George's face as Clayton Il controls the position.
Let's hope that Clayton Il has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
George can't do much from the bottom here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

George is looking to reverse the position.
Clayton Il has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Clayton Il remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

George with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Clayton Il to score with a decent uppercut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clayton Il feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
George tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Clayton Il seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

George can't keep his opponent in guard - Clayton Il advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
George knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clayton Il on the ground.

Clayton Il's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Clayton Il is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down George's shoulder. That is not cool.

Clayton Il has an Americana. George didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Clayton Il is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Clayton Il hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
