Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kau Kanahele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanahele dives in and grabs Daniels's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daniels pushes down on Kanahele's head and hops out. Daniels showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kanahele.
Kanahele tries for a takedown but Daniels sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kanahele fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kau Kanahele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daniels wants to clinch. Daniels throws a head kick but Kanahele moves out of range.
Daniels moves out of range of the leg kick from Kanahele. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels tries to clinch but Kanahele is having none of it. Kanahele throws a chopping leg kick but Daniels manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A head kick misses from Daniels. Kanahele swats away the attempt to clinch by Daniels.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels moves in looking to clinch but Kanahele pushes him off. Kanahele on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kanahele is breathing heavily. Daniels thuds his shin into the meat of Kanahele's side. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Daniels lands a left and a right that send Kanahele crashing to the mat, dazed. Daniels thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Kau Kanahele has been cut. Daniels instigates a clinch. Daniels stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kanahele. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Daniels crunches a lovely knee into Kanahele's ribcage. Daniels is stalling here.

He has Kanahele in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Daniels just leaning against Kanahele, taking a breather. Daniels continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Samuel Daniels. Daniels tries to clinch up. Daniels drives through and clinches with Kanahele against the cage.
Daniels lands an elbow inside that Kanahele shrugs off. Daniels displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kanahele up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Daniels stalling in the clinch.

Kau Kanahele's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Kanahele takes a knee to the side of the body. Daniels unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kanahele lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Come on Daniels - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Samuel Daniels. Daniels tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels doesn't manage to clinch there - Kanahele circles away.
Kanahele shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Daniels defends it nicely. Daniels clinches with his opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Daniels effectively controlling the action here. Kanahele is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Daniels gets underhooks to prevent Kanahele's takedown attempt.

Samuel Daniels dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kau Kanahele's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Daniels fails in his attempt to clinch. Kau Kanahele is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kanahele throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Daniels holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Daniels.
Daniels is trying to maintain a safe position but Kanahele gets an underhook and turns Daniels into the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Daniels takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Kanahele is trying to drag Daniels to the mat but Daniels just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Daniels has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stalling in the clinch from Daniels.
Samuel Daniels seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Daniels lands an elbow inside that Kanahele shrugs off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Kanahele. Daniels does a little dance to reset his feet. Daniels is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Daniels tries to clinch up but Kanahele circles away and keeps his distance. Daniels fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels throws a lazy right hand but Kanahele sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Horrible takedown by Kanahele or perhaps it was just good defense by Daniels which made him look bad. Samuel Daniels seems to be getting the better of the standup. Daniels tries to clinch up. Daniels tries to clinch but Kanahele is having none of it. Daniels drives through and clinches with Kanahele against the cage.

Jeez, Kau Kanahele's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daniels landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
