Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Montaigne (ranked 5556 p4p, 5343 weight class) and Wa Hoo (ranked 370 p4p, 364 weight class). Hoo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond. Wa Hoo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wa Hoo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montaigne throws a jab when Hoo was well out of range.
Hoo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Montaigne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hoo throws out the jab.
Hoo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Montaigne is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Montaigne!
Hoo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoo wants to take his opponent's back but Montaigne doesn't allow it.
Montaigne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoo on the ground.
Hoo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Montaigne is working to get back to half guard.
Hoo controlling the position easily from mount.
Hoo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Hoo moves to the back.
Hoo has got one arm under Montaigne's chin. This could be trouble... Montaigne trying to control the other hand but Hoo gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Montaigne has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Wa Hoo!
