Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 4464 p4p, 4223 weight class) and Ollie Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ollie Hughes!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lesnar is defended easily by Hughes.
As Lesnar backs off Hughes throws a huge counter combo but Lesnar manages to avoid it all.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lesnar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As Lesnar backs off Hughes throws a huge counter combo but Lesnar manages to avoid it all.

Hughes unleashes a big counter combination but Lesnar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Hughes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hughes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lesnar somewhat.
Lesnar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hughes tries to avoid it but Lesnar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hughes to the ground. Hughes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lesnar shoots in for a double leg but Hughes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hughes but Hughes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lesnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hughes to the mat! Hughes manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lesnar is looking to work some ground and pound but Hughes has wrist control.

Lesnar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hughes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hughes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lesnar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lesnar has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hughes wants to stand but Lesnar is controlling the position.

Hughes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lesnar defends well.
Lesnar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Hughes has his foot on Lesnar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lesnar works his way back into a safe position though.
Lesnar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnar is in close to Hughes's body, working some short punches and elbows.

It looks like Ollie Hughes has been cut.
Lesnar postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Hughes's head off the mat! Hughes is out! He's out! Lesnar jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brock Lesnar!
