Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Yamamoto (ranked 1293 p4p, 920 weight class) and Rocco Damato (ranked 114 p4p, 86 weight class). Damato comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thunderstruck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yamamoto comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Damato jumps guard but Yamamoto turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Rogerio Yamamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocco Damato.
Yamamoto keeps control of Damato as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Damato looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Damato tries to break free but Yamamoto pushes him back against the cage.
Yamamoto pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Yamamoto creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Damato's defenses.
Damato ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Damato no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Yamamoto wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Damato's closed guard. He's half up but Damato has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Damato pivots and extends the arm, Yamamoto falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Damato! Well done that man!
