The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tawake with a nice calf kick.
Wheeler throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tawake! But no joy.
Tawake lands with a right hand.
Tawake thows a left - swing and a miss!
Tawake scores with a jab to the jaw.
Tawake connects with a leg kick.
Wheeler looks to throw the jab but Tawake is out of range.
Tawake wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

A nice side step and Tawake releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Tawake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wheeler takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Wheeler shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tawake tries to roll over but Wheeler keeps him under control.
Tawake is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Wheeler jumps into side control!
Wheeler works to advance to full mount. Tawake defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Wheeler stops Tawake from getting back to his feet.

Tawake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wheeler decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wheeler tries to clinch but Tawake moves out of range.

Wheeler throws a lazy right hand but Tawake sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tawake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tawake shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tawake is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Wheeler thuds his right hand into Tawake's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wheeler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tawake's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tawake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wheeler's guard.

Wheeler has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tawake should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Wheeler has tightened it up now! Tawake should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
