Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nico Lin (ranked 4335 p4p, 3439 weight class) and Jaylin Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 260 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hill's choice of entrance music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXLERJ7WUSk. Nico Lin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nico Lin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaylin Hill!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Lin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hill won't be happy with that.
Lin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hill is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hill knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hill wants to get back to his feet but Lin is dominant here and he's now got Hill's back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Hill's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lin is trying to stick to Hill's back but Hill is turning into Lin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hill.

Hill trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lin's guard.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Lin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lin's head.
Hill stands up over Lin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hill connects with a couple of short punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hill with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hill is looking to stand up but Lin won't let him.
Hill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lin working for a triangle but Hill defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hill plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hill tries to bum rush Lin with a series of wild strikes but Lin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hill misses with a series of wild punches.
Some wild striking there from Hill.
Hill misses with a kick to the body

and Lin counters with a single leg into guard. Hill didn't expect that.

Hill manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hill tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lin defends well and Hill ends up having to push Lin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hill changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hill shoots in and gets a takedown into Lin's guard.

Hill stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Lin throws up his legs and catches Hill in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Hill tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Lin! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Nico Lin!
