This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 14 losses; Jisoo Oh! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 24 wins and 6 losses; Walon Green!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Oh tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Green defends well and Oh ends up having to push Green into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Green tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Oh has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Oh goes for a takedown in the clinch but Green prevents it.

Oh tightens his grip and picks Green up, before dumping him to the ground. Green manages to land in guard.

Oh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Green is trying to keep Oh in close.
Oh sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green pulls Oh in close to prevent any damage.

Green is continuing to stall.

Green working for a triangle but Oh defends it easily.

Green is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oh defends well.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Green holds on and takes a little breather.
Oh won't allow Green to sweep him here.
Green pulls Oh in to control the position.
Oh wants to pass the guard but Green is keeping the position.
Green looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oh puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green tries to get to full guard but Oh has control of the leg.
Green trying to hold on to Oh's head to control him but Oh postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oh wants to pass the guard but Green is defending well.

Oh is taking a breather. Green says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Oh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Green is doing well to control the position and prevent Oh from advancing to side control.
Oh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Green is trying to get back to full guard.
Oh sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Green moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Oh controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Oh pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Green is keeping the position for now.
Green is pulling down on Oh's head. It's preventing any offense from Oh, at least for the moment.
Oh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Green looking to control.

Oh sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Green wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Oh is now in half guard.
Green makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Green.

Green working a defensive guard but Oh passes into half guard.
Oh seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Green looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Green wants to get back to full guard but Oh has passed into side control.

Oh wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.
Green isn't going anywhere.
Green is looking to regain half guard here but Oh keeps moving and retains side control.
Green sneaks back into half guard.

Oh wants to pass to mount but Green is defending the position.

Oh is trying to work for a kimura but Green is defending well.
Well, if Oh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Green holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Green is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Oh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Oh's back!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Green controlling the positon.
Oh trying to control the action but Green just sinks the hooks in.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round.
Oh is keeping busy.
Green not allowing Oh to control his hands.
Oh is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Green is not going to allow Oh to sit and survive in this position.
Our spies down at at Freddy\'s Grappling Institute inform us that Green has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Green tightening his grip on Oh, looking for the choke.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round.
Green tries to get the hooks in deep but Oh pushed the leg off.
Green just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Green looking to hold on to the position here but Oh rolls and ends up regaining guard.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round.
Green wants to control from the top but Oh keeps moving.
Green postures up.
Green content to stall in guard here.
Oh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green won't allow Oh to sweep him here.

Oh takes the fight on points by 5 to 4.
Jisoo Oh retains his middleweight title!
