The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Gracie feints and as Tithonus raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gracie advances to half guard.
Tithonus is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Tithonus defends it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gracie avoids the attempt from Tithonus to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie wants to take Tithonus's back but he can't do it this time.

Tithonus is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gracie has taken his back.

Gracie has the hooks in. Tithonus is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Gracie controls the action.

Gracie is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tithonus has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Tithonus can't escape the position.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Gracie controlling the positon.
Tithonus trying to control the hands but Gracie breaks the grip.

Gracie looking to break Tithonus's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Tithonus remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gracie will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Gracie keeps control of the position easily here as Tithonus tries to buck him off.
Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tithonus for as long as he can get away with.

Gracie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tithonus on the ground.
Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie continues to stall.

Tithonus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tithonus is in all sorts of trouble here.

Tithonus slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Gracie is controlling the pace.
Tithonus wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control.
More hug and hope from Gracie.
Gracie moves nicely into side control.

Further stalling from Gracie.
Tithonus is looking to reverse the position.

Gracie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tithonus's shoulder. That is not cool.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Gracie is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tithonus is looking for a sweep.
Gracie is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tithonus will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Tithonus is letting Gracie control him for a moment.
Tithonus tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.
Gracie content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Gracie takes the fight on points by 14 to 0.
Memnon Tithonus spoke after the fight, saying 'You win or you go back to the gym with some new knowledge of what you need to improve, I will be back better than before and that is my promise to you.'.
