The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Novak closes the distance looking to clinch
and Thibodeaux counters with a shoot takedown. Novak fights it but they end up in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Thibodeaux (2) vs (0) Novak
Thibodeaux has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Novak to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Thibodeaux is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Novak pulls down on the head and he's put Thibodeaux to sleep! This one is all over!
