Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shocka Smarty (ranked 25695 p4p, 4066 weight class) and Jack Ripley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shocka Smarty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ripley!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley looks to throw the jab but Smarty is out of range.
Ripley leaves Smarty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ripley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smarty was well out of range. Poor timing from Ripley.
Smarty shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Smarty decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ripley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Smarty's hands.
It looks like Shocka Smarty has been cut.
Ripley cracks Smarty with an open hand slap.
Smarty shoots in for a takedown but Ripley shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ripley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smarty.
Ripley throws out a counter right but Smarty avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shocka Smarty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ripley tries to bum rush Smarty with a series of wild strikes but Smarty uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smarty blocks a jab.
Ripley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smarty counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ripley tries to kick Smarty off in order to stand up. Smarty Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Smarty decides to stand back up. Smarty steps back and let's Ripley get back to his feet.
Ripley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smarty closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ripley circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smarty slips under a jab.
Ripley throws a right and a left that Smarty avoids nicely.
Ripley throws a left and a right that both miss
so Smarty counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smarty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ripley, up you get!
Ripley swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Smarty counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ripley is kicking away at Smarty from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Smarty grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Ripley trying to push Smarty off... Ripley taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
