Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Pauling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Dreyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rufus Dreyer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Pauling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rufus Dreyer! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dreyer tries a head kick but it misses.
Dreyer sizes up Pauling with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Daniel Pauling has been cut. Pauling misses with a series of wild punches.
Dreyer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pauling misses with a combination
and Dreyer counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pauling uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dreyer. Pauling moves out of range as Dreyer strikes. Pauling bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dreyer connects with a right hand. Pauling shakes it off. Pauling lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Nice defenses there by Pauling. Dreyer misses with a combination
and Pauling counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Dreyer is defending against the submission attempts here by Pauling.
Pauling is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dreyer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pauling pulls his head out easily. Pauling frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dreyer is trying to escape the mount.
Pauling looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Dreyer tries to reverse the position but Pauling maintains control. Dreyer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dreyer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dreyer is trying desperately to improve position. Pauling has control of Dreyer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dreyer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Pauling is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dreyer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pauling goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dreyer is on top in guard.
Dreyer gets to his feet. Pauling looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dreyer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pauling's calf. Pauling throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dreyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dreyer throws a series of strikes that have Pauling backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dreyer thows a body kick. Pauling tries to catch it but that hurt him. Dreyer lands a hook that stumbles Pauling back into the cage. Dreyer follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Pauling to the canvas! Dreyer pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Pauling has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
