Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago De Lima (ranked 2884 p4p, 1125 weight class) and Scott Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 146 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Potter!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by De Lima.
De Lima fails to land with a series of punches.
Potter takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Potter defending well as De Lima loads up on a big left hand.
A combination from De Lima does no damage.
De Lima misses with a double jab.
De Lima lands a jab to Potter's midsection.
Potter looks to score with a jab to the body but De Lima is just out of range.
Potter misses the shot to the body.
De Lima throws a leg kick that misses.
De Lima misses with an attempted mid kick.
De Lima misses with an uppercut
and Potter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Potter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
De Lima seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
De Lima throws a front kick that sends Potter stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

letting Potter counter with a right hand.
Potter scores with a hook to the body. De Lima takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Potter's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Potter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Potter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as De Lima throws out the jab.

and De Lima takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Potter throws a nice looking combination but De Lima bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
De Lima thuds his right hand into Potter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Potter connects with a body shot.
De Lima throws a lazy head kick
and Potter counters with a nice uppercut.
De Lima throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Potter.

Potter lands with a nice body punch.

De Lima can't break the clinch.
De Lima is trying to force a seperation but Potter has the dominant position.
Potter gets through De Lima's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Potter pushes De Lima back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Oh De Lima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Still in the clinch, Potter scores with a nice short uppercut.
Potter lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Potter presses De Lima against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Potter lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt De Lima or not.
De Lima seems to have got his legs back now.
Potter lands with a left to the head.

De Lima's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
De Lima working hard to break the clinch.

Potter pushes De Lima against the cage. Potter is working some dirty boxing. Potter pushes off with a quick right hook! De Lima goes down! De Lima tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Potter moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

A less than humble Scott Potter misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
