Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Larry LeFell (ranked 1223 p4p, 1806 weight class) and Gus Jackson (ranked 155 p4p, 232 weight class). Gus Jackson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Larry LeFell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gus Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LeFell throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jackson throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as LeFell stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Jackson follows into mount!

LeFell is rocked!

It looks like Larry LeFell has been cut.
LeFell working to try and regain half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Jackson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But LeFell has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from LeFell!

LeFell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. LeFell eventually gives up the hold.

LeFell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

LeFell throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but LeFell has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson tries to pull guard but LeFell holds him up against the cage and eventually Jackson drops back down to his feet.
LeFell is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LeFell is looking to take this one to the mat.

LeFell misses with a short punch on the inside.

LeFell has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jackson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

LeFell is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
