Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hatmake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler McCarthy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hatmake!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hatmake paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McCarthy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hatmake.
Hatmake throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
McCarthy fails with an attempt to clinch.
McCarthy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hatmake's waist but Hatmake gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCarthy off to one side.
McCarthy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hatmake thumps McCarthy with a low kick.
Tyler McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCarthy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hatmake connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
McCarthy misses with a takedown attempt - Hatmake sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler McCarthy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCarthy wants to clinch up but Hatmake keeps it at a distance.
Hatmake misses with a jab, cross combination.
McCarthy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hatmake is fending him off so far but McCarthy persists. Nope, Hatmake circles away and we're back to standing.
McCarthy is breathing heavily.
A swing and a miss from Hatmake.
Hatmake throws out a loose jab but McCarthy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Donk. Hatmake catches McCarthy right on the button with a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCarthy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hatmake bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McCarthy's head backwards.
Hatmake misses with a straight left.
Hatmake drops McCarthy with a big left hand and mounts him. McCarthy is in big trouble!

McCarthy is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big strike lands for Hatmake! That's really hurt McCarthy and he's turned his back - Hatmake keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hatmake Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
