Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danilo Zoric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ekon Odogwu!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoric throws a shot to the body.
Odogwu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Zoric displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Odogwu.
Odogwu throws a lazy uppercut
and Odogwu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zoric feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Odogwu sprawling to the canvas! Odogwu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zoric finish him?!
It looks like Ekon Odogwu has been cut.
Ekon Odogwu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zoric cracks Odogwu on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Odogwu falls backwards against the cage. Zoric follows up with more strikes that drop Odogwu to his knees. Zoric keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Odogwu! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danilo Zoric!
During a confident post fight interview, Danilo Zoric thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
