Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Kidd (ranked 1454 p4p, 2975 weight class) and Leroy Dukes (ranked 185 p4p, 348 weight class). Leroy Dukes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dukes.
Dukes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Jesse Kidd has been cut.
Dukes loads up on a big right hand but Kidd slips the punch.

Dukes cracks Kidd with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kidd looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dukes finish him?

Dukes cracks Kidd with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dukes has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kidd to stand back up!

Kidd is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dukes drops Kidd with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kidd looks back up at him and smiles so Dukes waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Kidd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kidd shoots for a takedown but Dukes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kidd seems to have got his legs back now.

Kidd darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kidd is trying for a kimura here. Dukes looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kidd wins by kimura!
