Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Hippo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chandler Warner!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hippo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Chandler Warner has been cut.
Hippo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
King Hippo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warner looks to land a body kick but Hippo moved away.
Hippo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Warner throws the kick towards the body but Hippo avoids it.
Warner slips a jab from Hippo.
Warner steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Warner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hippo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Warner scrambles back to his feet.
Hippo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hippo misses with a straight left.
A little jabbing left from Warner on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hippo throws a body shot but no joy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Warner! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hippo punishes Warner's body with a nice straight punch.
Hippo ducks under a wild hook from Warner.
Hippo lands an overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hippo misses with a wild body shot.
Warner is trying to counter with his kicks.
Hippo cracks Warner with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Warner looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hippo finish him?
Hippo punishes Warner's body with a nice straight punch.
Warner walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Hippo swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). King Hippo!
After winning the bout, King Hippo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
