The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sup closes the distance and pushes Hughes back into the cage.
sup should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hughes is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Hughes can't break the clinch.
Hughes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but sup gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hughes can't get the takedown.
Hughes is trying to break the clinch but sup has him pressed against the cage.
sup pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
sup connects with a jab.
sup stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matias Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hughes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hughes drops his hands momentarily and sup takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hughes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hughes shoots in for a double leg but sup sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hughes is breathing heavily.
sup misses with a few strikes there.
sup goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Hughes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hughes is rocked!
sup moves into the clinch successfully.
sup escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hughes shoots in and drives through. sup sprawls well.
sup moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
sup scores with a leg kick.
sup circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hughes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! sup follows Hughes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
