PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Parisini (ranked 1554 p4p, 804 weight class) and Scooter McGraw (ranked 93 p4p, 50 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Scooter McGraw was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Parisini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scooter McGraw!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parisini misses the shot to the body.
Parisini tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGraw swivels and escapes.
McGraw takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
McGraw with a hook.
McGraw bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Parisini has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Freaky Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
McGraw looks to land a right hand but Parisini moved out of range.
Parisini shoots in for a takedown but McGraw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Parisini just misses with a punch to the body.
Parisini takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
McGraw misses with a few strikes there.
Parisini is looking to clinch but McGraw is avoiding it.
Parisini missing with a left hand there. McGraw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McGraw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McGraw lands a head shot.
Scooter McGraw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGraw lands with a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGraw lunges at Parisini with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Parisini's hand.
McGraw doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Parisini swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McGraw fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Parisini checks it well.

Parisini throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Parisini is looking to wear down McGraw with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Parisini swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McGraw is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parisini.
McGraw misses with an uppercut

and Parisini decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McGraw's guard.
McGraw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McGraw is pulling down on Parisini's head to control his posture.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGraw can do anything to dispel that myth.

Parisini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGraw swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Parisini drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parisini jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Parisini takes one on the button.
Decent striking displayed by Parisini there.
Parisini throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGraw sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parisini looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Parisini misses with a straight left.
McGraw swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

McGraw has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Parisini cracks McGraw with an open hand slap.
Parisini looks to land a combination but McGraw avoids it well.
McGraw throws a low kick but it's checked well by Parisini.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGraw misses with a few strikes there.
McGraw throws a leg kick which misses Parisini's front leg but catches the back leg as Parisini tries to avoid it.
Parisini connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Parisini drops his hands momentarily and McGraw takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGraw throws an overhand right that lands on Parisini's shoulder, as Parisini tries to avoid the shot.
Parisini tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGraw was well out of range. Poor timing from Parisini.

Parisini catches McGraw with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Parisini lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Scooter McGraw has been cut.
The fighters circling - McGraw throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McGraw scores with a nice strike.
Parisini thuds a left hand into McGraw's body.
Parisini wants to clinch up but McGraw keeps it at a distance.
McGraw connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Parisini throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McGraw tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Parisini is in McGraw's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGraw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Parisini sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McGraw's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Parisini is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McGraw has managed to free his arm - good work.
Parisini prevents McGraw from improving his position.

Parisini is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for McGraw!

Parisini wants to finish this one by submission but McGraw is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Parisini.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Parisini dives in and grabs McGraw's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGraw pushes down on Parisini's head and hops out.
Scooter McGraw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Parisini takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McGraw scores with a crisp jab that stopped Parisini in his tracks.
McGraw feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Parisinis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McGraw swats away the attempt to clinch by Parisini.
A jab lands there for Parisini.
McGraw drops Parisini with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Parisini! McGraw dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scooter McGraw!
