Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deon Graves (ranked 1332 p4p, 1008 weight class) and Michael Tavares (ranked 144 p4p, 114 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Graves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to THE ZOO. Tavares has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves misses with a straight left.
Graves lands with a cross.
It looks like Michael Tavares has been cut.
Graves misses with a hook.
Graves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tavares throws out a counter right but Graves avoids it with no problem.
Graves misses with an uppercut
and Tavares counters with a three punch combo that has Graves backing up. Graves nods at Tavares to acknowledge the strikes.
Graves scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Graves cracks Tavares with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Tavares falls to his knees and Graves doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deon Graves!
After winning the bout, Deon Graves thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
