Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Left Path (ranked 4319 p4p, 25172 weight class) and Joseph McCarthy (ranked 452 p4p, 541 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Path stuffs the takedown.
Path misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Path ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCarthy moves away.
McCarthy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Path defends it well.
McCarthy wants to clinch.
Path throws out a powerful jab.
McCarthy shoots in looking for a takedown. Path tries to sprawl out of it but McCarthy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Path manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Path lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McCarthy throws a series of punches but Path moves out of range.

and Path cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Path connects with a good right hand that stumbles McCarthy. McCarthy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

And McCarthy tries to counter it with a takedown but Path pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Path cracks McCarthy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Path jabs McCarthy right on the nose. McCarthy blinks but takes it well.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McCarthy tries to clinch there but Path circles away.
Path throws a combination. McCarthy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Path goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
McCarthy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Path throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McCarthy on the side of the head.
McCarthy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Path paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McCarthy has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
McCarthy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Path.

Path fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McCarthy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
