PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Jordan (ranked 1544 p4p, 601 weight class) and Maciej Galecki (ranked 136 p4p, 57 weight class). Jordan's entrance music is Beguiled- Smashing Pumpkins. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galecki walks into a left hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Galecki has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Jordan's corner calls for a 1-2. Jordan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Galecki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jordan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Galecki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Jordan seems a little lost for a moment, as Galecki dominates the positioning.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Galecki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Galecki might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Galecki connects with a nice short shot to Jordan's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Galecki is nestled in close to Jordan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well, if Galecki is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Galecki is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jordan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jordan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Galecki anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jordan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Galecki slips an arm under Jordan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Galecki has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Galecki is squeezing on Jordan like an anaconda would it's prey. Jordan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
