PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Frost (ranked 30 p4p, 898 weight class) and Luke Ridley (ranked 5 p4p, 100 weight class). Frost's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Procreation (of the Wicked). Eric Frost is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luke Ridley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ridley.

It looks like Eric Frost has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Ridley. Those never looked like landing.
Ridley throws a jab when Frost was well out of range.
Frost drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ridley sprawls and moves away.
Frost definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Frost throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ridley uses it to pass to side control.

Ridley throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Frost tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ridley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ridley winds up and cracks Frost with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Frost closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ridley to the mat! Ridley manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frost drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ridley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ridley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ridley!

Ridley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ridley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
