The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardener scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kael Gardener seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gardener fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hutchinson on the side of the head.

Gardener lands a big uppercut and Hutchinson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hutchinson looks OK. Gardener waves Hutchinson back to his feet!

Gardener is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hutchinson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gardener weaves into range and cracks Hutchinson right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Hutchinson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Gardener is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
