Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brogan (ranked 2356 p4p, 1135 weight class) and Bobby Bayou (ranked 287 p4p, 139 weight class). Brogan comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal Technique - Open Your Eyes. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayou looks to land a right hand but Brogan moved out of range.
Brogan throws an overhand right that lands on Bayou's shoulder, as Bayou tries to avoid the shot.
Bayou avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And Bayou tries to counter it with a takedown but Brogan pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bayou lands with a right hand.
It looks like Michael Brogan has been cut.
Bayou uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brogan.
Bayou drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Brogan defends it well.
Brogan throws a hook to the side of Bayou's head but Bayou sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Brogan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brogan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bayou manages to avoid it.
Bayou looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bayou drops Brogan with a big left hand and mounts him. Brogan is in big trouble!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brogan is on top in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bayou can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bayou tries a head kick but it misses.
Brogan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

And Bayou tries to counter it with a takedown but Brogan pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bayou drops his shoulder and cracks Brogan with a huge uppercut! Brogan goes down! Can Bayou finish him?
Brogan is rocked!

Bayou tries to free his leg and advance position but Brogan is retaining full guard.
Bayou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brogan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bayou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bayou got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brogan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bayou has managed to get both his arms back between Brogan's legs - danger averted.

Brogan is looking for a triangle but Bayou pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bayou controlling from the top position.
Brogan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bayou doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bayou manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bayou lunges at Brogan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brogan's hand.

Bayou measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Brogan! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
