Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleki Veainu (ranked 734 p4p, 1464 weight class) and Turner Crocop (ranked 88 p4p, 188 weight class). Crocop has chosen Cro Cop as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Aleki Veainu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleki Veainu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Turner Crocop!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu throws a hook but Crocop avoids it easily.
Crocop connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Crocop chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Crocop looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Veainu throws a sloppy body shot
and Crocop counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Veainu misses with an uppercut
and Crocop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Crocop takes a swing at Veainu's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Veainu scores with the left hand. Crocop knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Turner Crocop has been cut.
Crocop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Veainu.
It seemed like Crocop was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Crocop throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Veainu's head.
Crocop fakes the leg kick and cracks Veainu in the body.
Crocop buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Crocop toppling to the canvas! Crocop scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?!

and Crocop counters with a good, hard body kick but Veainu shrugs it off.

enabling Crocop to counter with a crisp jab.
Crocop lands a high kick!
Crocop misses with a head kick.
Veainu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Crocop counters with a nice uppercut.
Veainu blocks a head kick by Crocop.

Veainu throws a jab when Crocop was well out of range.

Crocop lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Veainu missing with a left hand there. Crocop was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Crocop appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Crocop moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Donk. Crocop catches Veainu right on the button with a cross.
Veainu takes a swing at Crocop's ribcage but misses.
Veainu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Crocop has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Crocop counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Veainu throws a body shot but no joy.
Crocop now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Veainu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That has opened up Turner Crocop's cut even more.

and Crocop counters with a body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crocop misses with a body shot.
Crocop plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Crocop throws out a powerful jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Turner Crocop dominated that round.

Veainu throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Crocop counters with a body kick that stops Veainu in his tracks momentarily.
Crocop scores with a hook to the body. Veainu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Veainu swings away with a body shot that misses
and Crocop counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Veainu is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Veainu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Veainu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Crocop.
