Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Steel (ranked 2028 p4p, 2544 weight class) and George Pogie (ranked 126 p4p, 300 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by BILMURI - 2016 CAVALIERS. Pogie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nobody’s Angel. Daniel Steel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Pogie!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ron Honeybunn and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pogie was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Steel swings for the body but Pogie moves out of range.
Pogie drops his hands momentarily and Steel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Steel tries to land a body kick
and Pogie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Steel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Steel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pogie defends it well.
Pogie tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg.

Steel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pogie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though.
Steel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Steel decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Steel. No joy for Pogie on that attempt.
Pogie has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Steel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pogie's head.
Pogie takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pogie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Pogie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Steel explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pogie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Steel seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Pogie is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Steel has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pogie is looking to defend but Steel has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pogie! Steel pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pogie taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Daniel Steel!
A very excited looking Daniel Steel made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
