The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Powers misses the target.
Powers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doom is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Doom moves in looking to clinch but Powers pushes him off.
Powers missing with a left hand there. Doom was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Powers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Doom lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Doom tries to clinch there but Powers circles away.

Powers swats away the attempt to clinch by Doom.

Doom is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Doom throwing strikes from guard but Powers blocks nicely.

Doom wants to control from the top but Powers keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Doom lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Powers circles away quickly and effectively.
Doom shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Doom wants to lay and pray for a moment but Powers keeps working.
Doom throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Powers tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Doom has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Powers is in all sorts of trouble here.

Doom can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Powers is looking to escape.
Doom looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Doom tries to control but Powers wriggling away.
Doom takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Powers keeps the fight on the outside.
Ronald Powers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Powers throws a solid leg kick but Doom takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Powers.
Powers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Powers jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Doom fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Powers on the side of the head.

Powers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Powers swats away the attempt to clinch by Doom.
Powers attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Doom rushes Powers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Doom lands a body punch in the clinch.
Doom breaks from the clinch.
Powers connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Doom momentarily.
Powers wants to clinch.
Doom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powers.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Powers throws a looping overhand right but Doom ducks down to avoid it.
Doom lands with a nice combination. Powers backs away looking to recover.
Powers takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Powers is rocked!
Doom gets a clinch.
Oh Powers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Powers tries to break the clinch but Doom is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doom landing knees to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doom lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Powers to his knees! Doom keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
