Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Xander Allen (ranked 2749 p4p, 24694 weight class) and Nick Tartle (ranked 336 p4p, 571 weight class). Xander Allen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xander Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Tartle!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen misses with a body shot.
Tartle unleashes a big counter combination but Allen bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Allen lands with a right hand.
The fighters circling - Allen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A nice leg kick from Tartle, right into the meat of the thigh.
A punch combination from Tartle misses.
Allen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tartle.
Tartle looks to throw the jab but Allen is out of range.

Allen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tartle.

Tartle buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Tartle looks to land a body kick but Allen moved away.
Allen fails in his attempt to clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tartle has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Allen throws a leg kick but Tartle sees it coming and moves out of range.

Tartle scores with a head kick. Allen tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Tartle throws a front kick aimed at Allen's knee but Allen avoids it well.

Xander Allen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A frustrated look appears on Tartle's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Xander Allen.
Well Allen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Xander Allen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
