Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Rotel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Rotel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rotel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Montes dodges the punch combination from Rotel.
Rotel misses with a lunging right hand
and Montes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Montes lands a right hook to the body.
Rotel misses the jab.
Montes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme Fighting Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Montes jabs Rotel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ricky Rotel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Rotel counter with a right hand.
Rotel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Montes sprawling to the canvas! Montes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rotel finish him?!
Montes is rocked!
It looks like Leroy Montes has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rotel lands a big right hook! Montes looks hurt but is still standing! Rotel lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Montes falls down and Rotel dives in with a huge hammer fist! Montes's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Rotel runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ricky Rotel! Ricky Rotel retains his super heavyweight title!
