PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Baum (ranked 2895 p4p, 3154 weight class) and Ty Ty Brown (ranked 125 p4p, 139 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Baum might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Dick - Mickey Avalon. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Baum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ty Ty Brown!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baum thuds his right hand into Brown's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Baum is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Baum has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Baum connects with a nice looking jab.
Baum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Brown counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brown.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Baum is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Baum manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Baum's guard.

Brown drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Baum manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brown has Baum in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown working for a triangle but Baum defends it easily.
Baum has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Baum wants to stand but Brown is controlling his posture from full guard.

Baum got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Baum has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted.

Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Baum defends it easily.

Brown is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Baum defends well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baum is aware though and is defending well.

Brown is looking for a triangle here but Baum uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Brown tries to improve position but can't.
Baum will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brown looks winded!
Baum gets to mount! Brown was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Baum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brown gets back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Baum stands up and beckons Brown to join him on the feet.

Baum fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Baum to score with a decent uppercut.

A jab lands there for Baum.
Baum lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brown backs up against the cage.
Brown moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baum misses with a two punch combination.
Baum connects with a nice looking jab.

Brown is rocked!
Brown is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Baum just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Brown has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adam Baum!
Adam Baum tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
