Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Drop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ledley King!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drop clinches up against the cage.
King swings wildly with an uppercut but Drop uses good head movement to avoid it.
Drop tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and King avoids it.
A right hook to the body lands for King.
Good body shot from King.
Drop is breathing heavily.
King lands a hook to the side of the head.
King tries to work over Drop's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, King creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
King working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
King misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A right hook to the body lands for King.
King can't get the takedown.
King misses with a punch on the inside.
King lands with a short shot to the head.
King works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
King misses with a hook to the ribs.
King creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Drop can't find room to land a body shot as King controls the action.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drop is pressed up against the cage. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Drop down to the mat. Drop avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for King.
It looks like Martin Drop has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Drop.
That's one minute gone in the round.
King lands with a nice body punch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that King has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
King lands a big uppercut and Drop crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Drop looks OK. King waves Drop back to his feet!
Drop ducks under a wild hook from King.
King catches Drop with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Drop forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ledley King!
Ledley King spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
