PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Makhi Snow (ranked 3056 p4p, 3120 weight class) and Ricardo Johnson (ranked 183 p4p, 186 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Snow.
It appears Snow was looking to counter with a kick there.
A jab lands there for Johnson.
Johnson thuds a left hand into Snow's body.
Snow connects with a right hand. Johnson shakes it off.
Ricardo Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Snow slips the punch.
Snow lands with a kick to the ribs.
Snow definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It seemed like Johnson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The crowd cheers as Johnson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Snow doesn't seem phased though.

Snow has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.

Snow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Snow walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Johnson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Johnson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow wants to break free but Johnson has control.

Ricardo Johnson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
