Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Pitstain (ranked 24904 p4p, 3686 weight class) and Phillip Mckay (ranked 518 p4p, 385 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodney Pitstain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Phillip Mckay!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Pitstain as Mckay shoots in.
Pitstain throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pitstain lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Mckay shoots in and gets a takedown into Pitstain's guard.
Mckay trying to control but Pitstain is working from the bottom.
Pitstain is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pitstain has his feet on Mckay's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've been told by Pitstain's head coaches at Shut Up & Train! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Mckay forces Pitstain back against the cage and clinches.

Pitstain pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mckay back to the cage. Pitstain follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Mckay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pitstain's waist but Pitstain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mckay off to one side.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Phillip Mckay has been cut.

Mckay changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pitstain fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pitstain throws a right hand that Mckay ducks under and follows up with a left that Mckay also avoids with ease.

Mckay scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It seemed like Mckay was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rodney Pitstain will probably get the nod.

Mckay is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pitstain will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pitstain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
