PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marques Roy (ranked 456 p4p, 1874 weight class) and Saul Jackson (ranked 60 p4p, 235 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Saul Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy slips a jab from Jackson.
Jackson misses with an uppercut. Roy saw that one coming.
Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roy.

Roy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roy lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
